Summary of 2004 Activities

The V-Planet project has a thirty-nine months duration and started in September 2001. It has reached its third year period dedicated to:

  • the development of tools for the database preparation line,
  • the realisation of critical components (reconstruction, simplification and rendering). For video demonstrations and publications, go to: [CRS4 videos and publications],
  • the realisation of the Final release implementing the basic functionalities of the V-Planet Explorer and,
  • the realisation of the GIS interoperability,
  • the participation at the IST-2004.

If you are a professional acquainted with GIS, 3D visualisation, simulation, animation, interactive software,we are pleased to invite you to join the V-Planet Special Interest User Group (SIUG) so that you can stay in contact with the project as it develops, giving your reactions and feedback on this innovative new software.
